Whovians can create their own Daleks at museum exhibit

The National Media Museum is going to be invaded by Doctor Who fans. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, the museum is opening up its doors for Doctor Who Family Fun.

The exhibition will be a host of activities for Whovians of all ages. Visitors will be able to create a light-up TARDIS, a moving Dalek, or make their own Doctor Who monster to take home with them. The exhibit will also feature a behind-the-scenes film showing how Doctor Who is made.

The episode ‘Nightmare in Silver’, featuring Matt Smith taking on the Cybermen, will also be shown for visitors.

The whole family will be able to participate in a Doctor Who trivia while the children are making their own monsters.

The museum’s learning program coordinator Elaine Richmond said: “We hope families will join us this half term to help keep the Museum from the clutches of the dreaded Daleks. We’re very excited about this event and promise a lot of Doctor Who-themed fun and activities in anticipation of the 50th anniversary episode next month.”

The Doctor Who Family Fun takes place at the National Media Museum, Bradford from October 26 to November 3.

The 11th Doctor will go against the Cybermen in this year’s Christmas Special

It has just come out that the 11th Doctor, played by Matt Smith, will be killed off by the ruthless, emotionless Cybermen in the 2013 Dr. Who Christmas Special. The Doctor has been facing off against the Cybermen since the very beginning of the series back in 1966, and they have become one of the series most notorious villans. They will be the ones who take out the 11th doctor to help make way for recently annoucned 12th Doctor, who will be played by Peter Capaldi.

The annoucement was leaked yesterday by professional stuntwoman Darrelle Parker when she tweeted:

“Great to be stunting again for Doctor Who in the Christmas special playing a Cyberman.”

Matt Smith stated that he believes the ending for the 11th Doctor is a fitting one and is ready to hand the reigns of the TARDIS to Peter Capaldi. Smith’s second to last episode will be the Dr. Who 50th Anniversery Special, which will feature the 10th Doctor, played by David Tennant as well as Rose Tyler played by Billie Piper as returning guest stars – along with John Hurt and Joanna Page. It will air on Saturday, November 23.

Keep an eye out for those Cybermen or you will be UPGRADED!
